The name of Château Batailley refers to the Hundred Years War, a battle of which was fought in 1453 on the estate’s lands. Château Batailley became a wine estate from the 17th century. This 5th Classified Growth in 1855 is produced in the Pauillac appellation, on the left bank of Bordeaux.
